The Frolicks are Maxine DuBois and Paul Bell
Formed in 2020, The Frolicks continue to grow and evolve, placing emphasis on new writing. The Frolicks take inspiration from the great theatre of yesteryear. At their core, The Frolicks love all things weird and wonderful and create work with a darkly comic twist. We currently have a number of exciting and varied projects in development and planned performances for 2021.
Maxine DuBois
Maxine DuBois (formerly Maxine Fone) has performed all over the world on stage and screen, including London’s West End, New York, Los Angeles and British Repertory Theatre. She won the Derby Telegraph Best Actress award for her role as Rita in ‘Educating Rita’.
She has appeared on the popular British TV dramas, Coronation St., Emmerdale Farm, Doctors, Mersey Beat and Broken. She has also had a career as a dancer, notably as principal dancer for Sir Matthew Bourne. Performing principal roles in Highland Fling, Swan Lake, Cinderella and the Nutcracker. Maxine is a busy commercial actress and voiceover artist and was a vocalist for the award winning vocal group “The Mediaeval Baebes”. She is also a Director, writer and abstract artist.
Paul Bell
Paul Bell is a professional magician and entertainer.
He has performed throughout Europe and the USA, and often lectures on Victorian Spiritualism and the crimes of Jack the Ripper.
In 2012 he was named ‘Mystery Entertainer of the Year’ by Psycrets - the British Society of Mystery Entertainers, and in 2019 he received a lifetime achievement award from the Psychic Entertainers’ Association (PEA) in the USA.
Paul is also a published author.
